Dan Jenkins is a researcher and Master’s student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, under the supervision of Prof. Joshua Marshall. Dan’s research focus is marine robotics, with an emphasis on Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs). As a core principle, Dan aims to contribute to the global sphere of knowledge and expand his own knowledge, whilst improving sustainability and human quality of life.

Dan has recently completed his B.E.Sc at the University of Western Ontario in Mechatronics Systems Engineering in 2023. During his degree, Dan has worked on several projects pertaining to robotics and autonomy, with an emphasis on controls and electrical design. He has direct industry experience as a Controls Designer in charge of the development and troubleshooting of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) in London, ON, as a part of a 16-month professional internship.
