Kai Wang is a Master’s student in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering under the supervision of Prof. Joshua Marshall and Dr. Sidney Givigi (Computing). His current research project focuses on vision-based, map-free vehicle convoying.

Kai studied Electrical Engineering (B.A.Sc.) at University of Ottawa, with a specialization in control systems in his final year. Kai completed his internship at CAE Inc. (Canadian Aviation Electronics) in Montreal, QC, developing patient simulators for medical training; and at Kinectrics Inc (Toronto, ON) on nuclear industry reverse engineering. Kai is also a research assistant for Queen’s Autodrive Team, a competition team that represents Queen’s University in the SAE Autodrive Challenge II.
